Conditions of Enrolment (Please Read Carefully)

  1. Prospective students must complete and return this enrolment form together with full payment of their tuition fee before starting lessons.
  2. No refunds will be made after the course has commenced, unless JIC Language School cancels the course. There is no refund on course materials after purchase. This applies to all classes.
  3. Cancellation fee ($25) may be charged for cancellation prior to the commencement of the course.
  4. Unused portions of classes are not transferable to other persons.
  5. Administration fee ($15) will be charged for initial enrolments or if students stop learning over 6 months (counting from the day the previous course ends).
  6. The administration fee ($10) will be charged if students pay the tuition fee in installments.
  7. Special offers or discounts cannot be used in conjunction with other special offers or discounts.
  8. 2% surcharge will be charged for credit card payments due to the bank charges and 3% surcharge for PayPay payment. 
  9. JIC Language School reserves the right to alternate teachers and make changes to curriculum at any time, without notice.
  10. Per our Privacy policy, staff members may not give any studnet their personal contact details. All communication must be via JIC email address for the safety and assurance of both studenet and teacher. 
  11. In the case of teacher’s absence, another teacher will be assigned without notice.
  12. Some online courses may be recorded for training purposes if you not consent to be recorded, please contact us before your first lesson.
  13. In the event that students from the kids' classes are not picked up within 15min of the class end time, an additional extension fee will be charged

Applies only to Group students.

  • No refund will be given for unattended classes. However, in the case of classes having been missed by the student, a private "catch-up" lesson maybe arranged at the cost of $35 per hour.
  • Unused portions of any course may be used for future classes of the same course in the following term only with an addtional fee of $50. NB. Unused portions of any course cannot be transferred to a private or custom-made course.
  • The length of classes may be shortened if there are less than 3 students for Japanese class, and 2 students for Chinese class.
  • In the case of teacher’s absence, another teacher will be assigned without notice.
  • Attendance is compulsory for the course on the same day and time without exception. However, in the case of classes having been missed by the studnet, a private "catch-up" lesson may be arranged at a cost of $35 per hour. 
  • In the event of a COVID-19 lockdown all group on site lessons will be transferred to online for the duration of the lockdown.

Applies only to private students and custom made classes.

  • Private students must give 24 hours notice, during business hours if they are unable to attend a lesson. Failure to do so will incur a fee equal to the cost of the lesson.
  • Private lessons must be taken within 6 months of the first lesson date, or 3 months if you select 3 months package. After this period, money paid will be forfeited.
  • Any unused portions will not be refunded and cannot be credited. In the case you wish to change the lesson time, another teacher may be assigned.
  • Please book your next lesson with your teacher at the class, if you need to cancel or change the booking, please contact us.
