Are you planning a trip to Japan? Before you go, learn the basics in one of our fun and affordable short courses!

This course is for beginners who intend to travel to Japan.

You will learn basic Japanese with a focus on the phrases needed while traveling as well as Japanese culture and customs.

Lesson Overview

Day1: Common expressions (e.g. “Hello”, “Excuse me”)
Introducing yourself
Shopping
a) Asking for directions
b) Asking for prices
c) Acceptances/Refusals


Day2
Conversation in restaurants

a) Asking for a table 
d) Giving preferences, e.g. “no sesame” e) Giving compliments/opinions a) Asking for a table
b) Ordering food
c) Asking for conveniences, e.g. bathroom
d) Giving preferences, e.g. “no sesame” e) Giving
e) Giving compliments/opinions


Day3
Catching public transport
Describing destinations (e.g. to a taxi driver)
Asking for the time/destination (e.g. station, bus terminal)
Asking "where is the nearest ___?"

9th-11th December: 10am -12:00pm, 1:30 - 3:30pm, 5-7:00pm
12th-14th December: 10am -12:00pm, 1:30 - 3:30pm, 5-7:00pm
16th-18th December: 10am -12:00pm, 1:30 - 3:30pm, 5-7:00pm
19th-21st December: 10am -12:00pm, 1:30 - 3:30pm, 5-7:00pm
27th-29th December: 10am -12:00pm
6th-8th January: 10am -12:00pm, 1:30 - 3:30pm, 5-7:00pm
9th-11th January: 10am -12:00pm, 1:30 - 3:30pm, 5-7:00pm
*Minimum number of participants for the onsite class is two.

Please send us your preferred days/times between the 11th of December and the 11th of January. We will do our best to arrange your three-day sessions based on your request.

Course fee:
Full Course 2H x 3 lessons (Total 6 hours) $165(GST included)
*an initial admin fee of $20 will be added for new students
*if there are less than 2 students in class, the class time will be shortened.
