JAPANESE COURSE

Method
All our Japanese courses are planned and delivered to meet our student’s needs and objectives. As people everywhere rely on language to communicate, all courses offered are designed for complete beginners to
fluent Japanese speakers. Our Japanese classes provide a very friendly and motivating learning atmosphere, and prepare you for the next, more advanced course. Our teaching is conducted using the “ Direct Method”.
This enables rapid learning of practical vocabulary and grammar.
Class Size
Every Japanese class is small as we only accept between 3 to 10 students per class. It is our policy to put more focus on the students, rather than running a lecture-like class. When the Japanese class is small,
our quality teachers can rectify any difficulties the students might encounter on the spot. Our teachers are willing to advise students should any problem arise.
Beginner Conversation Course
This course is available for students who have completed the beginner course or have previous basic knowledge of Japanese and would like to strengthen their Japanese speaking skills. Throughout the Japanese classes, you will bring your present Japanese Language knowledge to class and apply them during conversation. You might have had problems in speaking Japanese previously, but by attending this course, you will find little difficulty at the end of the course.
Each Japanese class accommodates 5-10 students (for regular classes) and 3-8 students (for intensive classes).
Intermediate Course (Level A, B & C)
Suitable for people who have either completed the beginner course or have already mastered a sufficient, basic level of competency in japanese language and wish to progress into more extensive knowledge of the language.
We will help you to develop your higher grammatical vocabulary and adjective elements while introducing Katagana (ie Advanced writing text) and further Kanji (Chinese characters) in our Japanese Language School in Melbourne.
You will be exposed to Japanese culture, sentence conjugates and abbreviation methods, and spatial and temporal descriptions.
You will start reading short stories and learn to construct paragraphs in different tenses and put stories in sequence while enhancing your reading, speaking and writing skills. You will achieve natural dialogue and communicate subtle differences and nuances.
You will know how to express your feelings, opinion, relay messages, make predictions, probability, emphasise ideas, preferences, final decisions and other topics that would keep the communication alive.
The course also places emphasis on speech development so you can speak more fluently and correctly.
Each Japanese class accommodates 5-10 students (for regular classes) and 3-8 students (for intensive classes).
Intermediate Conversation Course
This course is available for students who have completed the intermediate course or have previous intermediate knowledge of Japanese and would like to strengthen their Japanese speaking skills. You will bring your present Japanese Language knowledge to class and actively apply them during conversation. Exposure to new intermediate language attributes might bring some chaos to your basic speaking foundation that you have built previously, by attending this Japanese lesson you will find that the gap is narrower by the end of the course.
Each Japanese class accommodates 5-10 students (for regular classes) and 3-8 students (for intensive classes).
Advanced Course (Level A, B & C)
Suitable for people who have either completed intermediate course or have already mastered a sufficient intermediate level of competency in the Japanese language and wish to progress into more advanced knowledge of the language
These levels are to solidify students’ vocabulary and grammatic structural knowledge while upgrading proficiency in all listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The course places emphasis on advanced speech development so you can speak more fluently.
The students are exposed to different written material, such as magazines, newspapers and audiotapes. Students are able to read, ask and explain different topics or stories in this language. Students are also able to write letters and essays. We encourage free discussion in Japanese formal and informal speaking styles to increase fluency and confidence. You will bring your present Japanese knowledge to class and use it in conversation.

Advanced Conversation Course
This course is available for students who have reached an advanced level of fluency in spoken Japanese and would like to continue their Japanese studies through conversation-based learning. You will bring your present Japanese knowledge to class and use it in conversation
This course will improve students' speech and ability to converse about current topics. Advanced study of Kanji compounds, vocabulary and idioms and grammar will be reviewed. This level will also increase the students' familiarity in reading Kanji in newspaper and magazine articles that are related to the conversation.
Each Japanese class accommodates 5-10 students (for regular classes) and 3-8 students (for intensive classes).
JLPT Preparation Course
We do assist students to help them preparing all they need prior the test for JLPT examination.
Classes are run through model practices, we will discuss each potential question, each possible solution, do deeper explanation behind the scenario of each question and answer while teaching you other further grammar, vocabulary, phrases and sentence structures that are related.
Through this course, we can help you tackle all your concealed mistakes, and help raise your skills in the Japanese language to an ideal level, so you can sit the paper with more confidence.
Each class accommodates 5-10 students (for regular classes) and 3-8 students (for intensive classes).
Private Lessons
Suitable for people who have a restricted schedule or have special interest in a particular study area. You have the right to customise Japanese lessons and decide the content according to your desire if you wish to.
Students will gain a greater flexibility in learning their interest. Students in this class will see a faster rate of progress than the regular group students. Teachers give students more emphasis as the size of the class is exceptional small. Private Japanese lessons can accommodate 1 or more students, subject to your desire.
Private lessons can be arranged by appointment.
VCE Support Course
This course is designed specifically to meet the needs of VCE students and prepare you for written and oral exams. Students attend one 90-minute class per week. Our teacher is familiar with the needs of Year 12 students and the textbook used will be the regular Year 12 High School text.
Each class accommodates 5-10 students (for regular classes) and 3-8 students (for intensive classes).
Business Course
This course is designed for people who wish to use Japanese to communicate in real-life business situations. Students will know how to deal with a variety of business-related tasks, problems, special customs of Japanese business, knowledge and judgment in a variety of business circumstances in Japanese Language.
Each class accommodates 5-10 students (for regular classes) and 3-8 students (for intensive classes).
Children's Japanese Course
This course is designed for children from kinder age to Year 6 Primary school students. As we know, learning about different cultures is always a good thing that stimulates your child's brain and imagination, so we provide many
opportunities for exploring Japan and its customs with your children. Besides studying Japanese, the children will explore crafts, songs, games, cooking, activities and videos to help them with understanding Japanese culture; this includes a
Japanese hand clapping game about making rice cakes, singing Japanese poems and songs, watching a cherry blossom video, calligraphy, cooking sushi and drinking traditional miso soup and much more.
